The triliteral root nūn ḍād rā (ن ض ر) occurs three times in the Quran, in two derived forms:

  • twice as the noun naḍrat (نَضْرَة)
  • once as the active participle nāḍirat (نَّاضِرَة)

(76:11:7) naḍratanradiance فَوَقَاهُمُ اللَّهُ شَرَّ ذَٰلِكَ الْيَوْمِ وَلَقَّاهُمْ نَضْرَةً وَسُرُورًا
(83:24:4) naḍrata(the) radiance تَعْرِفُ فِي وُجُوهِهِمْ نَضْرَةَ النَّعِيمِ

Active participle

(75:22:3) nāḍiratun(will be) radiant وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَاضِرَةٌ
