The triliteral root jīm hā zāy (ج ه ز) occurs four times in the Quran, in two derived forms:

  • twice as the form II verb jahhaza (جَهَّزَ)
  • twice as the noun jahāz (جَهَاز)

(12:59:2) jahhazahumhe had furnished them وَلَمَّا جَهَّزَهُمْ بِجَهَازِهِمْ قَالَ ائْتُونِي بِأَخٍ لَكُمْ مِنْ أَبِيكُمْ
(12:70:2) jahhazahumhe had furnished them فَلَمَّا جَهَّزَهُمْ بِجَهَازِهِمْ جَعَلَ السِّقَايَةَ فِي رَحْلِ أَخِيهِ
