The triliteral root khā ḍād ʿayn (خ ض ع) occurs twice in the Quran, in two derived forms:
- once as the form I verb takhḍaʿ (تَخْضَعْ)
- once as the active participle khāḍiʿīn (خَٰضِعِين)
