The triliteral root wāw qāf rā (و ق ر) occurs nine times in the Quran, in four derived forms:

  • once as the form II verb tuwaqqiru (تُوَقِّرُ)
  • once as the noun waqār (وَقَار)
  • once as the noun wiq'r (وِقْر)
  • six times as the noun waqr (وَقْر)

(41:44:22) waqrun(is) deafness وَالَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ فِي آذَانِهِمْ وَقْرٌ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِمْ عَمًى
