The triliteral root nūn qāf bā (ن ق ب) occurs three times in the Quran, in three derived forms:

  • once as the form II verb naqqabu (نَقَّبُ)
  • once as the noun naqb (نَقْب)
  • once as the noun naqīb (نَقِيب)
