The triliteral root lām mīm sīn (ل م س) occurs five times in the Quran, in two derived forms:
- four times as the form I verb lamasu (لَمَسُ)
- once as the form VIII verb al'tamisu (ٱلْتَمِسُ)

Verb (form I) - to touch, to have contact
