The triliteral root ḥā ẓā rā (ح ظ ر) occurs twice in the Quran, in two derived forms:

  • once as the passive participle maḥẓūr (مَحْظُور)
  • once as the form VIII active participle muḥ'taẓir (مُحْتَظِر)
