The triliteral root ghayn wāw rā (غ و ر) occurs four times in the Quran, in three derived forms:

  • once as the noun ghār (غَار)
  • twice as the noun ghawr (غَوْر)
  • once as the noun maghārāt (مَغَٰرَٰت)
