The triliteral root bā hā tā (ب ه ت) occurs eight times in the Quran, in two derived forms:
- twice as the form I verb buhita (بُهِتَ)
- six times as the noun buh'tān (بُهْتَٰن)

(2:258:36) fabuhita | So became dumbfounded | فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ يَأْتِي بِالشَّمْسِ مِنَ الْمَشْرِقِ فَأْتِ بِهَا مِنَ الْمَغْرِبِ فَبُهِتَ الَّذِي كَفَرَ |
