Chapter (30) sūrat l-rūm (The Romans)

Sahih International: [It is] the promise of Allah. Allah does not fail in His promise, but most of the people do not know.

Pickthall: It is a promise of Allah. Allah faileth not His promise, but most of mankind know not.

Yusuf Ali: (It is) the promise of Allah. Never does Allah depart from His promise: but most men understand not.

Shakir: (This is) Allah's promise! Allah will not fail His promise, but most people do not know.

Muhammad Sarwar: This is the promise of God. God does not ignore His promise, but many people do not know.

Mohsin Khan: (It is) a Promise of Allah (i.e. Allah will give victory to the Romans against the Persians), and Allah fails not in His Promise, but most of men know not.

Arberry: The promise of God! God fails not His promise, but most men do not know it.
