Chapter (20) sūrat ṭā hā

Sahih International: [Pharaoh] said, "Then what is the case of the former generations?"

Pickthall: He said: What then is the state of the generations of old?

Yusuf Ali: (Pharaoh) said: "What then is the condition of previous generations?"

Shakir: He said: Then what is the state of the former generations?

Muhammad Sarwar: He then asked, "What do you know about the past generations?"

Mohsin Khan: [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said: "What about the generations of old?"

Arberry: Pharaoh said, 'And what of the former generations?'
