Chapter (19) sūrat maryam (Mary)

Sahih International: O sister of Aaron, your father was not a man of evil, nor was your mother unchaste."

Pickthall: O sister of Aaron! Thy father was not a wicked man nor was thy mother a harlot.

Yusuf Ali: "O sister of Aaron! Thy father was not a man of evil, nor thy mother a woman unchaste!"

Shakir: O sister of Haroun! your father was not a bad man, nor, was your mother an unchaste woman.

Muhammad Sarwar: Aaron's sister, your father was not a bad man nor was your mother unchaste".

Mohsin Khan: "O sister (i.e. the like) of Harun (Aaron) [not the brother of Musa (Moses), but he was another pious man at the time of Maryam (Mary)]! Your father was not a man who used to commit adultery, nor your mother was an unchaste woman."

Arberry: Sister of Aaron, thy father was not a wicked man, nor was thy mother a woman unchaste.'
