Verse (22:2), Word 7 - Quranic Grammar

The seventh word of verse (22:2) is a form IV perfect verb (فعل ماض). The verb is third person feminine singular. The verb's triliteral root is rā ḍād ʿayn (ر ض ع).

Verse (22:2)

The analysis above refers to the second verse of chapter 22 (sūrat l-ḥaj):

Sahih International: On the Day you see it every nursing mother will be distracted from that [child] she was nursing, and every pregnant woman will abort her pregnancy, and you will see the people [appearing] intoxicated while they are not intoxicated; but the punishment of Allah is severe.
