Chapter (54) sūrat l-qamar (The Moon)

Sahih International: And there came upon them by morning an abiding punishment.

Pickthall: And in truth the punishment decreed befell them early in the morning.

Yusuf Ali: Early on the morrow an abiding Punishment seized them:

Shakir: And certainly a lasting chastisement overtook them in the morning.

Muhammad Sarwar: We struck their faces, blinded them and said, "Suffer Our torment of which you were warned".

Mohsin Khan: And verily, an abiding torment seized them early in the morning.
