Chapter (44) sūrat l-dukhān (The Smoke)

Sahih International: Then they turned away from him and said, "[He was] taught [and is] a madman."

Pickthall: And they had turned away from him and said: One taught (by others), a madman?

Yusuf Ali: Yet they turn away from him and say: "Tutored (by others), a man possessed!"

Shakir: Yet they turned their backs on him and said: One taught (by others), a madman.

Muhammad Sarwar: and they turned away, saying, "He is a trained and insane person".

Mohsin Khan: Then they had turned away from him (Messenger Muhammad SAW) and said: "One (Muhammad SAW) taught (by a human being), a madman!"

Arberry: then they turned away from him and said, 'A man tutored, possessed!'
