Verse (64:6), Word 9 - Quranic Grammar

The ninth word of verse (64:6) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A verb, subject pronoun and object pronoun. The imperfect verb (فعل مضارع) is third person masculine plural and is in the indicative mood (مرفوع). The verb's triliteral root is hā dāl yā (ه د ي). The suffix (الواو) is an attached subject pronoun. The attached object pronoun is first person plural.

Verse (64:6)

The analysis above refers to the sixth verse of chapter 64 (sūrat l-taghābun):

Sahih International: That is because their messengers used to come to them with clear evidences, but they said, "Shall human beings guide us?" and disbelieved and turned away. And Allah dispensed [with them]; and Allah is Free of need and Praiseworthy.
