Sahih International: Indeed, they were not expecting an account

Pickthall: For lo! they looked not for a reckoning;

Yusuf Ali: For that they used not to fear any account (for their deeds),

Shakir: Surely they feared not the account,

Muhammad Sarwar: They did not expect such a Judgment

Mohsin Khan: For verily, they used not to look for a reckoning.

Arberry: They indeed hoped not for a reckoning,
