Chapter (78) sūrat l-naba (The Great News)

Sahih International: And denied Our verses with [emphatic] denial.

Pickthall: They called Our revelations false with strong denial.

Yusuf Ali: But they (impudently) treated Our Signs as false.

Shakir: And called Our communications a lie, giving the lie (to the truth).

Muhammad Sarwar: and persistently rejected Our revelations.

Mohsin Khan: But they belied Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, and that which Our Prophet (Peace be upon him) brought) completely.

Arberry: and they cried loud lies to Our signs;
