Chapter (29) sūrat l-ʿankabūt (The Spider)

Sahih International: But We saved him and the companions of the ship, and We made it a sign for the worlds.

Pickthall: And We rescued him and those with him in the ship, and made of it a portent for the peoples.

Yusuf Ali: But We saved him and the companions of the Ark, and We made the (Ark) a Sign for all peoples!

Shakir: So We delivered him and the inmates of the ark, and made it a sign to the nations.

Muhammad Sarwar: We saved Noah and the people in the Ark and made (their case) a miracle for the world.

Mohsin Khan: Then We saved him and those with him in the ship, and made it (the ship) as an Ayah (a lesson, a warning, etc.) for the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists).

Arberry: Yet We delivered him, and those who were in the ship, and appointed it for a sign unto all beings.
