Chapter (15) sūrat l-ḥij'r (The Rocky Tract)

Sahih International: We do not send down the angels except with truth; and the disbelievers would not then be reprieved.

Pickthall: We send not down the angels save with the Fact, and in that case (the disbelievers) would not be tolerated.

Yusuf Ali: We send not the angels down except for just cause: if they came (to the ungodly), behold! no respite would they have!

Shakir: We do not send the angels but with truth, and then they would not be respited.

Muhammad Sarwar: We do not send down angels except for a genuine purpose, at which time none will be given any further respite.

Mohsin Khan: We send not the angels down except with the truth (i.e. for torment, etc.), and in that case, they (the disbelievers) would have no respite!

Arberry: We send not down the angels, save with truth;
