Chapter (15) sūrat l-ḥij'r (The Rocky Tract)

Sahih International: Let them eat and enjoy themselves and be diverted by [false] hope, for they are going to know.

Pickthall: Let them eat and enjoy life, and let (false) hope beguile them. They will come to know!

Yusuf Ali: Leave them alone, to enjoy (the good things of this life) and to please themselves: let (false) hope amuse them: soon will knowledge (undeceive them).

Shakir: Leave them that they may eat and enjoy themselves and (that) hope may beguile them, for they will soon know.

Muhammad Sarwar: (Muhammad), leave them alone to eat and enjoy themselves and let their desires deceive them; they will soon know (the Truth).

Mohsin Khan: Leave them to eat and enjoy, and let them be preoccupied with (false) hope. They will come to know!

Arberry: leave them to eat, and to take their joy, and to be bemused by hope; certainly they will soon know!
