The triliteral root rā jīm fā (ر ج ف) occurs eight times in the Quran, in four derived forms:

  • twice as the form I verb tarjufu (تَرْجُفُ)
  • four times as the noun rajfat (رَّجْفَة)
  • once as the active participle rājifat (رَّاجِفَة)
  • once as the form IV active participle mur'jifūn (مُرْجِفُون)
