The triliteral root dāl hamza bā (د أ ب) occurs six times in the Quran, in three derived forms:

  • four times as the noun dab (دَأْب)
  • once as the noun da-ab (دَأَب)
  • once as the active participle dāibayn (دَآئِبَيْن)
