Verse (33:19), Word 28 - Quranic Grammar

The 28th word of verse (33:19) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A resumption particle and verb. The connective particle fa is usually translated as "then" or "so" and is used to indicate a sequence of events. The form IV perfect verb (فعل ماض) is third person masculine singular. The verb's triliteral root is ḥā bā ṭā (ح ب ط).

Verse (33:19)

The analysis above refers to the nineteenth verse of chapter 33 (sūrat l-aḥzāb):

Sahih International: Indisposed toward you. And when fear comes, you see them looking at you, their eyes revolving like one being overcome by death. But when fear departs, they lash you with sharp tongues, indisposed toward [any] good. Those have not believed, so Allah has rendered their deeds worthless, and ever is that, for Allah , easy.
