Sahih International: We have certainly created man into hardship.

Pickthall: We verily have created man in an atmosphere:

Yusuf Ali: Verily We have created man into toil and struggle.

Shakir: Certainly We have created man to be in distress.

Muhammad Sarwar: that We have created the human being to face a great deal of hardship.

Mohsin Khan: Verily, We have created man in toil.

Arberry: indeed, We created man in trouble.
