Chapter (76) sūrat l-insān (Man)

Sahih International: And you do not will except that Allah wills. Indeed, Allah is ever Knowing and Wise.

Pickthall: Yet ye will not, unless Allah willeth. Lo! Allah is Knower, Wise.

Yusuf Ali: But ye will not, except as Allah wills; for Allah is full of Knowledge and Wisdom.

Shakir: And you do not please except that Allah please, surely Allah is Knowing, Wise;

Muhammad Sarwar: (The virtuous mentioned in this chapter) want only what God wants. God is All-knowing and All-wise.

Mohsin Khan: But you cannot will, unless Allah wills. Verily, Allah is Ever All-Knowing, All-Wise.

Arberry: But you will not unless God wills; surely God is ever All-knowing, All-wise.
