Verse (5:14), Word 4 - Quranic Grammar

The fourth word of verse (5:14) is divided into 2 morphological segments. An accusative particle and object pronoun. The accusative particle belongs to a special group of words known as inna and her sisters (ان واخواتها). The attached object pronoun is first person plural.

Verse (5:14)

The analysis above refers to the fourteenth verse of chapter 5 (sūrat l-māidah):

Sahih International: And from those who say, "We are Christians" We took their covenant; but they forgot a portion of that of which they were reminded. So We caused among them animosity and hatred until the Day of Resurrection. And Allah is going to inform them about what they used to do.
