Verse (2:200), Word 9 - Quranic Grammar

The ninth word of verse (2:200) is a masculine singular noun and is in the genitive case (مجرور). The case marker is a fatḥah instead of a kasrah because the noun is a diptote (ممنوع من الصرف). The noun's triliteral root is shīn dāl dāl (ش د د).
