Verse (19:76), Word 6 - Quranic Grammar


The sixth word of verse (19:76) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A conjunction and active participle. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". (19:76:6) الْبَاقِيَاتُ and (19:76:7) الصَّالِحَاتُ. Should these not be اسم مرفوع instead

of اسم مجرور ?

You are right. Both should tagged thus:

N – nominative feminine plural active participle
