Verse (18:36), Word 12 - Quranic Grammar


The twelfth word of verse (18:36) is an indefinite form VII masculine passive participle and is in the accusative case (منصوب). The passive participle's triliteral root is qāf lām bā (ق ل ب).

Chapter (18) sūrat l-kahf (The Cave)

(as) a return."

Verse (18:36)

The analysis above refers to the 36th verse of chapter 18 (sūrat l-kahf):

Sahih International: And I do not think the Hour will occur. And even if I should be brought back to my Lord, I will surely find better than this as a return."
