Verse (18:13), Word 10 - Quranic Grammar

The tenth word of verse (18:13) is divided into 4 morphological segments. A conjunction, verb, subject pronoun and object pronoun. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". The passive perfect verb (فعل ماض) is first person plural. The verb's triliteral root is zāy yā dāl (ز ي د). The suffix (نا) is an attached subject pronoun. The attached object pronoun is third person masculine plural.

Sahih International: It is We who relate to you, [O Muhammad], their story in truth. Indeed, they were youths who believed in their Lord, and We increased them in guidance.
