Chapter (7) sūrat l-aʿrāf (The Heights)

Sahih International: And the first of them will say to the last of them, "Then you had not any favor over us, so taste the punishment for what you used to earn."

Pickthall: And the first of them saith unto the last of them: Ye were no whit better than us, so taste the doom for what ye used to earn.

Yusuf Ali: Then the first will say to the last: "See then! No advantage have ye over us; so taste ye of the penalty for all that ye did !"

Shakir: And the foremost of them will say to the last of them: So you have no preference over us; therefore taste the chastisement for what you earned.

Muhammad Sarwar: The first will then say, "You are no better than us; suffer the torment as the result of your deeds.

Mohsin Khan: The first of them will say to the last of them: "You were not better than us, so taste the torment for what you used to earn."

Arberry: The first of them shall say to the last of them, 'You have no superiority over us, then; so taste the chastisement for what you have been earning.'
