Chapter (7) sūrat l-aʿrāf (The Heights)

Sahih International: And the magicians came to Pharaoh. They said, "Indeed for us is a reward if we are the predominant."

Pickthall: And the wizards came to Pharaoh, saying: Surely there will be a reward for us if we are victors.

Yusuf Ali: So there came the sorcerers to Pharaoh: They said, "of course we shall have a (suitable) reward if we win!"

Shakir: And the enchanters came to Firon (and) said: We must surely have a reward if we are the prevailing ones.

Muhammad Sarwar: The magicians came to the Pharaoh and said, "We must have our reward if we are to gain a victory over him (Moses)".

Mohsin Khan: And so the sorcerers came to Fir'aun (Pharaoh). They said: "Indeed there will be a (good) reward for us if we are the victors."

Arberry: And the sorcerers came to Pharaoh, saying, 'We shall surely have a wage, if we should be the victors?'
