Chapter (38) sūrat ṣād

Sahih International: And they will say, "Why do we not see men whom we used to count among the worst?

Pickthall: And they say: What aileth us that we behold not men whom we were wont to count among the wicked?

Yusuf Ali: And they will say: "What has happened to us that we see not men whom we used to number among the bad ones?

Shakir: And they shall say: What is the matter with us that we do not see men whom we used to count among the vicious?

Muhammad Sarwar: But why is it that we cannot see men whom we had considered as wicked

Mohsin Khan: And they will say: "What is the matter with us that we see not men whom we used to count among the bad ones?"

Arberry: They say, 'How is it with us, that we do not see men here that we counted among the wicked?
