  • nine times as the form IV verb amlā (أَمْلَىٰ)
  • once as the noun maliyy (مَلِيّ)

Verb (form IV) - to give respite

(3:178:6) num'līWe give respite وَلَا يَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَنَّمَا نُمْلِي لَهُمْ خَيْرٌ لِأَنْفُسِهِمْ
(3:178:11) num'līWe give respite إِنَّمَا نُمْلِي لَهُمْ لِيَزْدَادُوا إِثْمًا وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُهِينٌ
(7:183:1) wa-um'līAnd I will give respite وَأُمْلِي لَهُمْ إِنَّ كَيْدِي مَتِينٌ
(13:32:6) fa-amlaytubut I granted respite وَلَقَدِ اسْتُهْزِئَ بِرُسُلٍ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ فَأَمْلَيْتُ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا
(22:44:5) fa-amlaytuso I granted respite فَأَمْلَيْتُ لِلْكَافِرِينَ ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُهُمْ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ نَكِيرِ
(22:48:4) amlaytuI gave respite وَكَأَيِّنْ مِنْ قَرْيَةٍ أَمْلَيْتُ لَهَا وَهِيَ ظَالِمَةٌ ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُهَا
(25:5:6) tum'lāare dictated اكْتَتَبَهَا فَهِيَ تُمْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلًا
(47:25:15) wa-amlāand prolonged hope الشَّيْطَانُ سَوَّلَ لَهُمْ وَأَمْلَىٰ لَهُمْ
(68:45:1) wa-um'līAnd I will give respite وَأُمْلِي لَهُمْ إِنَّ كَيْدِي مَتِينٌ
