Chapter (88) sūrat l-ghāshiyah (The Overwhelming)

Sahih International: [Some] faces, that Day, will be humbled,

Pickthall: On that day (many) faces will be downcast,

Yusuf Ali: Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated,

Shakir: (Some) faces on that day shall be downcast,

Muhammad Sarwar: On that day the faces of some people will be humbly cast down,

Mohsin Khan: Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated (in the Hell-fire, i.e. the faces of all disbelievers, Jews and Christians, etc.).

Arberry: Faces on that day humbled,
