Chapter (26) sūrat l-shuʿarā (The Poets)

Sahih International: And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned.

Pickthall: And We rained on them a rain. And dreadful is the rain of those who have been warned.

Yusuf Ali: We rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): and evil was the shower on those who were admonished (but heeded not)!

Shakir: And We rained down upon them a rain, and evil was the rain on those warned.

Muhammad Sarwar: by pouring upon them a terrible shower of rain. How evil was the rain for those who had been warned!

Mohsin Khan: And We rained on them a rain (of torment). And how evil was the rain of those who had been warned.
