Chapter (16) sūrat l-naḥl (The Bees)

«أنْ» مفسرة، والجملة بعدها تفسيرية، «حنيفا» حال من «إبراهيم»، وجازت الحال من المضاف إليه؛ لأن المضاف بمنـزلة الجزء من المضاف إليه. جملة «وما كان» معطوفة على الحال «حنيفا»، من قبيل عطف الجملة على المفرد.
