Verse (93:9), Word 3 - Quranic Grammar


The third word of verse (93:9) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A conjunction and prohibition particle. The prefixed conjunction fa is usually translated as "and". The prohibition particle (حرف نهي) is used to form a negative imperative and places the following verb into the jussive mood (مجزوم).
