Verse (58:4), Word 19 - Quranic Grammar

The nineteenth word of verse (58:4) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A preposition and proper noun. The prefixed preposition bi is usually translated as "with" or "by". The proper noun is in the genitive case (مجرور). The proper noun's triliteral root is hamza lām hā (أ ل ه). Together the segments form a preposition phrase known as jār wa majrūr (جار ومجرور).

Sahih International: And he who does not find [a slave] - then a fast for two months consecutively before they touch one another; and he who is unable - then the feeding of sixty poor persons. That is for you to believe [completely] in Allah and His Messenger; and those are the limits [set by] Allah. And for the disbelievers is a painful punishment.
