Verse (3:36), Word 16 - Quranic Grammar

The sixteenth word of verse (3:36) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A verb, subject pronoun and object pronoun. The form II perfect verb (فعل ماض) is first person singular. The verb's triliteral root is sīn mīm wāw (س م و). The suffix (التاء) is an attached subject pronoun. The attached object pronoun is third person feminine singular.

Verse (3:36)

Sahih International: But when she delivered her, she said, "My Lord, I have delivered a female." And Allah was most knowing of what she delivered, "And the male is not like the female. And I have named her Mary, and I seek refuge for her in You and [for] her descendants from Satan, the expelled [from the mercy of Allah]."
