Verse (17:41), Word 6 - Quranic Grammar

The sixth word of verse (17:41) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A particle of purpose, verb and subject pronoun. The prefixed particle lām is used to indicate the purpose of an action and makes the following verb subjunctive. The form V imperfect verb (فعل مضارع) is third person masculine plural and is in the subjunctive mood (منصوب). The verb's triliteral root is dhāl kāf rā (ذ ك ر). The suffix (الواو) is an attached subject pronoun.
