Chapter (25) sūrat l-fur'qān (The Criterion)

Sahih International: And it is He who has created from water a human being and made him [a relative by] lineage and marriage. And ever is your Lord competent [concerning creation].

Pickthall: And He it is Who hath created man from water, and hath appointed for him kindred by blood and kindred by marriage; for thy Lord is ever Powerful.

Yusuf Ali: It is He Who has created man from water: then has He established relationships of lineage and marriage: for thy Lord has power (over all things).

Shakir: And He it is Who has created man from the water, then He has made for him blood relationship and marriage relationship, and your Lord is powerful.

Muhammad Sarwar: It is He who has created the human being from water to have relationships of both lineage and wedlock. Your Lord has all power.

Mohsin Khan: And it is He Who has created man from water, and has appointed for him kindred by blood, and kindred by marriage. And your Lord is Ever All-Powerful to do what He will.

Arberry: And it is He who created of water a mortal, and made him kindred of blood and marriage; thy Lord is All-powerful.
