Verse (63:4), Word 18 - Quranic Grammar

The eighteenth word of verse (63:4) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A resumption particle, verb and object pronoun. The connective particle fa is usually translated as "then" or "so" and is used to indicate a sequence of events. The imperative verb (فعل أمر) is second person masculine singular. The verb's triliteral root is ḥā dhāl rā (ح ذ ر). The attached object pronoun is third person masculine plural.

Verse (63:4)

Sahih International: And when you see them, their forms please you, and if they speak, you listen to their speech. [They are] as if they were pieces of wood propped up - they think that every shout is against them. They are the enemy, so beware of them. May Allah destroy them; how are they deluded?
