Verse (59:19), Word 6 - Quranic Grammar

The sixth word of verse (59:19) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A particle of cause, verb and object pronoun. The prefixed particle fa is usually translated as "then" or "so". The particle is used to indicate cause and makes the following verb subjunctive. The form IV perfect verb (فعل ماض) is third person masculine singular. The verb's triliteral root is nūn sīn yā (ن س ي). The attached object pronoun is third person masculine plural.

Verse (59:19)

Sahih International: And be not like those who forgot Allah , so He made them forget themselves. Those are the defiantly disobedient.
