Verse (33:13), Word 8 - Quranic Grammar

The eighth word of verse (33:13) is a form IV masculine passive participle and is in the accusative case (منصوب). The passive participle's triliteral root is qāf wāw mīm (ق و م).

Verse (33:13)

The analysis above refers to the thirteenth verse of chapter 33 (sūrat l-aḥzāb):

Sahih International: And when a faction of them said, "O people of Yathrib, there is no stability for you [here], so return [home]." And a party of them asked permission of the Prophet, saying, "Indeed, our houses are unprotected," while they were not exposed. They did not intend except to flee.
