The quadriliteral root qāf nūn ṭā rā (ق ن ط ر) occurs four times in the Quran, in two derived forms:

  • three times as the noun qinṭār (قِنطَار)
  • once as the form II passive participle muqanṭarat (مُقَنطَرَة)

(3:14:8) wal-qanāṭīriand [the] heaps زُيِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ حُبُّ الشَّهَوَاتِ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ وَالْبَنِينَ وَالْقَنَاطِيرِ
