Verse (9:86), Word 16 - Quranic Grammar

The sixteenth word of verse (9:86) is an imperfect verb (فعل مضارع). The verb is first person plural and is in the jussive mood (مجزوم). The verb's triliteral root is kāf wāw nūn (ك و ن). The verb (نكن) belongs to a special group of words known as kāna and her sisters (كان واخواتها).
