Verse (9:4), Word 8 - Quranic Grammar

The eighth word of verse (9:4) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A verb, subject pronoun and object pronoun. The imperfect verb (فعل مضارع) is third person masculine plural and is in the jussive mood (مجزوم). The verb's triliteral root is nūn qāf ṣād (ن ق ص). The suffix (الواو) is an attached subject pronoun. The attached object pronoun is second person masculine plural.

Sahih International: Excepted are those with whom you made a treaty among the polytheists and then they have not been deficient toward you in anything or supported anyone against you; so complete for them their treaty until their term [has ended]. Indeed, Allah loves the righteous [who fear Him].
