Verse (9:49), Word 13 - Quranic Grammar

__

The thirteenth word of verse (9:49) is a proper noun in the genitive case (مجرور). The case marker is a fatḥah instead of a kasrah because the proper noun is a diptote (ممنوع من الصرف).

Chapter (9) sūrat l-tawbah (The Repentance)

(9:49:13)
jahannama
Hell
PN – genitive proper noun → Hell اسم علم مجرور بالفتحة بدلاً من الكسرة لأنه ممنوع من الصرف

Verse (9:49)

The analysis above refers to the 49th verse of chapter 9 (sūrat l-tawbah):

Sahih International: And among them is he who says, "Permit me [to remain at home] and do not put me to trial." Unquestionably, into trial they have fallen. And indeed, Hell will encompass the disbelievers.

I think (9:49:13) should be اسم علم منصوب because of إِنَّ .
